Guided by a fascination with circular shapes, her work balances precision and spontaneity. Whether working with ceramics or glass, she navigates the tension between control and fluidity, embracing the unique qualities of each medium. Each piece serves as a marker of transformation, capturing moments of expansion, stillness, and movement within its form.
She draws inspiration from her surroundings, particularly the raw, unconventional architecture of Rotterdam, as well as the softer, classical forms of her birthplace, s’-Hertogenbosch. By merging these influences, she creates a family of objects that oscillate between abstraction and functionality, inviting curiosity and exploration.
