The Utrecht Monument Fund, recognized as a Public Benefit Organization (ANBI) with a cultural status, has a heart for monuments. The board and expert employees are very committed to the careful, professional management of 149 rental units . The Fund is not a profit-making organization and is not liable for corporate income tax. The UMF also has a large number of homes below the social rent threshold, which fulfills our social objective: creating an opportunity for everyone to live in a monumental building.
Many volunteers also contribute. For example, by maintaining gardens or mapping the history of our buildings. Through publications and lectures, employees and volunteers bring the stories behind the facades to a wide audience. We see this as an important task: promoting knowledge and interest in the history and monument care of the city of Utrecht.
