Arjen creates art and design objects with a hands-on, playful and direct attitude, driven by contextual relevance and meaning. He questions the connection between nature and humans and uses themes of impermanence, alienation and playfulness of materials. He strives to penetrate different methods and materials and translate them into contemporary designs with quirky character through their form, attitude or material and with particular attention to detail and finish.
